A major success of Hyndburn’s Land programme to date was the ‘Enchanted Woodland’ project in summer 2005, in partnership with the Friends of Arden Hall and Hyndburn Borough Council. This involved local schoolchildren and community groups in devising a large-scale, outdoor event inspired by the history and wildlife of the area and resulted in a magical summer evening in the Park for 500 people. Another exciting project currently taking shape at Within Grove in Huncoat promises to transform a neglected open space into an attractive neighbourhood amenity.
