Pendle has had a very lively and varied Land programme, including a concentration of activity around the Panopticon site in Wycoller Country Park to raise awareness of the site. This has included successive Hallowe’en celebrations, a community bulb- and tree-planting day and a series of very successful willow workshops resulting in several major willow sculptures. Very different but equally significant has been the Shopkeepers project, a photographic documentation of old shop fronts in Nelson and Colne before demolition, and interviews with the shopkeepers, which resulted in an exhibition and is now being extended across East Lancashire. Follow the links below to read about these and other Land projects in Pendle and find out where you can see Pendle’s new landscape features.
